How many eggs should be frozen?
It depends on several factors, the most important of which is age. This is because age at the time of freezing is the best way to predict how many eggs will be genetically normal.
Although there is no specific "magic number" that would guarantee a later pregnancy, the desired number of frozen eggs is approximately 20.
Important information:
- • The basic package for oocyte freezing includes 2 straws in which oocytes are stored
- • When a larger number of oocytes are obtained, they are frozen in additional straws, which are charged beyond the basic package
- • Frozen oocytes are stored in liquid nitrogen
- • The fee for storing genetic material is €170 per year
- • ¹ BENEFIT GYN-FIV - price for examinations, stimulation and oocyte retrieval (including anesthesia) for patients with continued treatment within one cycle. The decision is made by the physician and embryologist based on results.
