During Stimulation
Ovarian Stimulation
Stimulation helps multiple eggs to mature.
We tailor each ovarian stimulation to the patient and her specific needs.
The doctor selects the most suitable approach based on ultrasound, hormone levels, age and IVF cycle history. In this way we ensure that the stimulation will be as effective as possible and safest for each woman.
Stimulation usually lasts 10 to 14 days. During this period, the woman self-administers injections with hormones according to the doctor's instructions. However, you are not alone - throughout the entire time you are under thorough medical supervision.
If you are very afraid of administering the injections, you can come during the stimulation to the center, where our medical staff will assist you.

Monitoring During Stimulation
These are regular check-ups aimed at monitoring the growth and maturation of follicles (sacs containing eggs) in a hormonally stimulated cycle.
Monitoring takes place in the form of:
- Hormonal examination (blood draw) - we monitor levels of key hormones
- Ultrasound folliculometry - measuring the number and size of follicles
How to Support Your Body During Stimulation?
Hormonal stimulation has two phases, during which it is recommended to adjust your lifestyle so that you minimize the risk of complications and at the same time feel as good as possible.
- Phase 1: Relaxed Regime (from the start of menstruation to the first check-up - approximately day 8 of the cycle)
- Phase 2: Cautious Regime (from the first check-up to embryo transfer or menstruation)

Phase 1: Relaxed Regime
From the start of menstruation to the first check-up - approximately day 8 of the cycle.
In this phase, you do not need to significantly restrict yourself. A more relaxed regime applies and you can:

Continue with regular exercise including gym, yoga, pilates...

Engage in work, studies or social life without major restrictions.
Phase 2: Cautious Regime
From the first check-up to embryo transfer or menstruation.
In the second phase of the cycle, it is recommended to take more care of your body and follow some important rules:

No physically demanding activities, skip the gym, running, dancing, yoga and pilates.

Avoid sexual intercourse to prevent the risk of complications.

You can go to work, as well as for walks, to the cinema or for dinner with friends.

Alcohol and other substances are not recommended,
social activities are fine - if you feel well.
Take Care of Yourself - Your Body Will Reward You
If you can create more space for yourself during this period - for example through home office, study leave or a more relaxed work regime - we highly recommend it. Even a small rest can have great significance.

Eat enough protein, ideally 1.6 to 2 g per kilogram of body weight daily.

Drink plenty of fluids,
we recommend 3 to 4 liters daily.

Wear loose clothing, especially if you experience lower abdominal discomfort.
